After leading multi-million dollar teams in the industrial engineering world, Andrew Summerton is using his experience to embrace a more fulfilling challenge – helping the growth and success of small businesses in Blacktown.
For over 15 years, Andrew has led teams around the world. As the former National Product Manager at Inenco Group and National Operations Manager at Water Dynamics, Andrew is a natural at honing people’s skills and building successful teams. After a whirlwind career in corporate, Andrew is ready to make a more significant impact at a local level.
“My goal is to have a direct, transformative effect on businesses and bring positive change to the community,” says Andrew. “Business coaching is the path I see.”
“I really believe I can use my skills and knowledge to help business owners build something from the ground up.”
There are over 30,000 businesses in Blacktown, supporting over 153,000 jobs for local residents, most in the construction, transport, postal and warehousing industries. With Andrew’s strong executive background in the mechanical and industrial engineering sphere, Blacktown stands to benefit from Andrew’s vision.
“I’ve joined a business coaching company that has the passion, drive and trustworthiness to really change the lives of business owners,” says Andrew. “Step-by-step, strategy-by-strategy, my business coaching will be instrumental in shaping people’s futures.”
Andrew’s entrepreneurial spirit traces back to his roots; In the UK, his father was an aircraft engineer and owner of a global business, cementing Andrew’s strong work ethic and business acumen. His love for Motorsports steered him to earn a mechanical engineering degree at the University of Derbyshire. But, it was Andrew’s love for rugby that brought him to Australian shores. He quickly took on roles with CBC Australia, inspecting mine sites across the country, before ascending to managerial roles within industrial sector giants.
Andrew has called the Blacktown area home for over six years now. “Whether it’s a day out at the Alroy Tavern, playing soccer, or spending time with my kids, I love living here,” says Andrew. “The soccer field at Harvey Park is just around the corner. It’s great for casual games or just walking the dog.”
Andrew actively involves himself in local events, training kids in soccer. Blacktown is buzzing with anticipation for the positive influence Andrew will bring to local businesses. His decision to coach and mentor is set to inspire many in the area.
